The result of a five year trans-Atlantic collaboration between David
Cooper Orton (UK) and James Sidlo (USA) this DogFingers/Uncle Buzz
joint release is a journey into beautiful atmospheres and complex textures
using software manipulation and guitar looping. The two
guitar players manage to blend their voices together into an effective sonic
melange which, though often melodic and soothing in nature, manages to retain
an adventurous and experimental edge, never allowing itself to become overwhelmed
with its more accessible aspirations.
Inspired by the discovery of their shared musical interests, having “met” on
Looper’s Delight (an open on-line forum for
samplists) these two musicians have worked to create a dim the lights, headphones
on audio experience.
